Review of The Maltese Falcon (1941) by Jason R — 23 Jan 2011
A classic example of film noir, and a hugely influential movie. The Maltese Falcon is incredibly fun to watch unfold - I love the complex, paranoid mystery of it, and the dialogue is outstanding. Humphrey Bogart is unbelievably cool as Sam Spade, creating an iconic character.
The Maltese Falcon is not quite my favorite film noir but it's certainly one of the best.
