Review of The Maltese Falcon (1941) by Willie J — 22 Feb 2014
John Huston's film noir was probably the most influential in American cinema history. Huston's attention to detail and his patience with the story is something to behold. Along with debut actor Sydney Greenstreet, Peter Lorre, and Mary Astor, Humphrey Bogart leads this hard boiled film with intensity.
This movie is the "stuff dreams are made of" (for filmmakers at least).
