Review of The Magician (1958) by Scott W — 14 Oct 2010
A fascinating small film. Max Von Sydow is always wonderful to look at. The characters are delightfully three dimensional, and the story is both amusing and dark. I can often appreciate stories that center around rogue professions, and this one is portrayed delicately and honestly.
(This movie is also very, very sexy for its time.) Good stuff.
