I usually like movies that take their time, provided there is a payoff at the end. "The Lost Daughter" had no payoff. Which means it was a waste of time. The closeups were too close. The scenes didn't always make sense.
And there were NO likable characters in the movie. Plus, you could see the actors acting. I completely disliked the experience.
