Review of The Lookout (2007) by Simon W — 04 Jun 2009
If this goes down as a star vehicle for Joseph Gordon-Levitt, then all is right with the cinema world. This is his movie and he does a great job with it. Jeff Daniels also turns in a great role as his friend/roommate/mentor.
You don't always agree with the main character and his outbursts and mistakes, but you sympathize with him the entire way through. The storyline is well thought out and interesting without being gimicky.
A dark film, wtih a little more vengeance than I prefer... but still a captivating, quasi-flick well worth your time.
