Review of The Long Goodbye (1973) by Tom F — 07 Apr 2008
Elliott Gould is a brilliant actor and this is probably his tour de force. His laid back casual private eye is a perfectly pitched Marlowe. Coupled with direction from one of America's greatest ever, this is one of the best films of the 1970's.
Makes a great double bill with Chinatown!.
