Review of The Lineup (1958) by Jesse L — 18 Mar 2004
(Theatre) (First Viewing, 4th Siegel film).
An interesting cop film/noir hybrid most distinctive for an early Eli Wallach performance, some terrific location work in San Francisco and a fantastic climactic car chase. It was a particular treat seeing one of the major scenes taking place at the Sutro Baths the later turned into a skating rink. Having visited its ruins on the SF cliffs and well acquainted with its history, it was certainly an interesting sight to see. It was worth seeing just for that. That it was a solid movie otherwise made it all the better.
