Review of The Lineup (1958) by Allan C — 14 Jul 2011
Very cool crime story from director Don Siegel and screenwriter Stirling Silliphant. Less of a film noir and more of a tough b-flick with a stellar cast, especially Eli Wallach as a psychotic killer. Though Wallach steals the show, Richard Jaeckel and Robert Keith are also terrific.
Director Siegel makes great use of several San Francisco locations, particularly the chase at the end, and directs with his typical tough efficient style.
