Review of The Lighthouse (2019) by Ginak — 29 Oct 2019
A fascinating film – and contest of wills – between a lighthouse keeper and his new assistant. It is impossible to guess what will happen next, and the two actors (Robert Pattison and Wilhem Dafoe) are completely believable in a thoroughly daft situation.
The lighthouse they inhabit is claustrophobic, and the surrounding area as desolate and unrelenting as what goes on inside.
