Review of The Leopard (1963) by Richard C — 08 Aug 2009
I had the doubt about if the film was going to be able to reproduce the complex thinking and deepness of the book from Lampedusa. However, the film just take the surface, and is not able to get into the real problem.
It´s not a fault of the film, just a consequence of trying to adapt a book that has not been made for cinema. Couldn´t see it complete because I wasn´t able, I maybe change my rating when I see it complete, but I see it very unlikely.
