Review of The Leopard (1963) by Blake A — 30 Nov 2014
Beautifully conceived and executed epic about the passage of time and the observation that, though things change through the advancing generations, human nature remains immutable. At the center of it all is Burt Lancaster's stellar performance as the aging patriarch of an aristocratic Sicilian family, who reflects upon this as the world around him shifts violently.
A masterpiece.
