Review of The Legend of Tarzan (2016) by Nachiketh H — 16 Oct 2016
The director has wisely picked the cast especially Tarzan himself. Cinematography is good. However everything remains a mystery about Tarzan. Like how he learned english so fast, got away with 'ooh'ing and 'aah'ing and a bonus one-"how does he clean shave in the congo.
" Every scene actually proves him not a legend. He fails to save his wife, he can't kill his ape brother, etc(he does swing using the endless rope like spiderman but wait... that doesn't qualify him as a legend).
More than a hour through the movie he finally tries to convince us that he's a legend by somehow making like a thousand buffaloes to run into the port base. The film is about the legend of Tarzan and the audience is to assume that Tarzan's legendary.
.. seriously?
