It breaks my heart to give a Scorsese film only one star, but honestly, this isn't just an offensive and blasphemous film (not to sound like a religious extremist), but it's overlong, dull, and sometimes it can be downright irritating when some of its weaker supporting actors take the screen.
I'm not opposed to greatly controversial works of art, but The Last Temptation of Chris just isn't worth the red-in-the-face screaming matches it has inevitably caused.
