Review of The Last Temptation of Christ (1988) by Jeffrson — 26 Jul 2020
The film portrays Jesus as a human tempted to follow a normal life, and who struggles with faith. It explains Jesus's choices based on human feelings: fear & hope. Very provocative film. I was upset for the most part of the viewing - because it voluntarily doesn't follow the gospels - but the movie makes you think and reflect about what is faith.
The ending was an excellent surprise for me, and I will do a second viewing for sure.
