Review of The Last Detail (1973) by John G — 30 Jan 2008
A great example of the spirit and aesthetic of American seventies filmmaking. Towne's screenplay is a blast, a brilliant example of what can be done with the naughty side of the english language. Nicholson is terrific and Ashby helps by keeping the film simple and straightforward.
