Review of The Lady Eve (1941) by Chris S — 10 Jul 2009
This is inarguably the best of Barbara Stanwyck's films, and it's role reversal at its best, with Stanwyck being dominant and Fonda being shy and passive (which is the way it really should be).
The best scene in this film? The one with Barbara teasing Fonda, fondling with his ear and hair and with her face so close to his, and Fonda feeling almost orgasmic, tee-hee. This is also the film that made me realize how charming and cute Henry Fonda was.
