Review of The Lady Eve (1941) by Colm M — 28 Nov 2013
An empowering movie for the women of the day but by todays standards its essentially a standard rom-com. Some genuinely funny moments but the slapstick consisted entirely of Henry Fonda tripping over things throughout the movie.
Stanwyck is great as usual but my favourite character was Sir Alfred played by Eric Blore. I can see why some movie buffs would find this 'delightful'. I don't see the big deal.
