Review of The Lady Eve (1941) by Jakki J — 27 Mar 2011
This classic, screwball comedy was top-notch fun! Barbara Stanwyck and Henry Fonda were a hoot, playing a manipulating scam artist and wealthy simpleton. One thing I can say for this film is that it is not predictable.
So many times I thought I knew what was going to happen, but something completely different took place. It was surprising, witty and funny, so I definitely recommend it to fans of this genre.
