Review of The Killing of a Chinese Bookie (1976) by Hindénbörg E — 08 Sep 2007
The shorter version is easily my favorite flick from Cassavettes and Company.
Ben Gazzera giving his "Live Comfortably" speech to the strippers is among my favorite monologues. Including Timothy Carrey as a gangster along with the ambiguity of the ending just makes it so perfect.
I'm currently ripping this and Paul Morrissey off for my intro to scriptwriting class.
