Review of The Killing of a Chinese Bookie (1976) by Jason R — 18 Feb 2009
Great performance here from Gazzara. You can see his pain and the sheer desperation in his face. It always seems like Cassavettes brings the best in actors and they deliver top notch work. I really enjoyed the film for the first half but the last half hour seemed to wander.
Still an interesting film from a master.
