Review of The Killing of a Chinese Bookie (1976) by Holly R — 18 Mar 2012
I'm such a Cassavetes fan, I'm not sure how I hadn't seen this one yet...
In any event, it's great, of course. Sleazy & sad - Ben Gazzara is mesmerizing & heartbreaking. Good supporting cast (I love Seymour Cassel in anything), but Gazzara quietly shines - he is missed.
