Review of The Keep (1983) by Jimi F — 07 Oct 2008
Apparently this film was ruthlessly cut to ribbons by the studio (almost an hour removed!), so itâ??s no wonder that The Keep, in its edited version, makes little sense and has no real narrative momentum; nevertheless, it has great potential, greater visuals (thereâ??s one involving a man peering down into a limitless abyss thatâ??s really special), fine music, some fine dialogueâ?¦.
If a directorâ??s cut arrived some time soon, this could turn from a flawed but good film into maybe a great one.
