Aside from giving more character development to Mowgli's wolf family and adding more motivation for Shere Khan, I really don't see the point to remaking a live adaptation of the animated Disney film from 1967.
It is a well done movie and a movie that I'm sure younger generations will come to love, but was it really necessary?
