Review of The Jungle Book (2016) by Andy S — 18 Feb 2018
I'm not a big fan of CGI, but it's on point in this movie. I love that Bill Murray is Baloo, fits perfectly. And Shere Khan is viscous played wonderfully by Elba.
Definitely a more mature version from the original. Bagheera is the voice of reason, Mowgli would be dead if it weren't for him. I'm glad Sir Ben Kingsley plays him.
Pretty beautiful how the elephants basically created the land and help save it.
Overall, though I prefer the original with all it's beautiful technicolor colors and animation, this one was good too. It had a sense of maturity and told the story a bit differently than the original. I thought the cast they picked to do the voice over's was perfect.
