Streep is exceptional - perhaps her best performance ever? As for the story, well it didn't seem to match up to reality. For most of the story we feel pity for this once strong leader who has succumbed to dementia - which of course is a tragedy.

But what about the rest of the story? Most of the negative side of her leadership was either skimmed over or put down to the early stages of her illness, thus presenting a very sympathetic picture. A watchable movie, but a contentious one at the same time.
