Review of The Iron Lady (2011) by Leslie R — 18 Dec 2015
Not to belittle Meryl Streep's performance which was outstanding but the film could have done with another hour or at least half an hour to fill in spaces over a very quickly glossed over political career.
Ironically Thatcher's bout with dementia was actually the most poignant part of the film despite criticisms of friends of the family that it was dehumanizing. I thought it made her appear more human than she likely was.
