Review of The Intern (2010) by Mike L — 08 Nov 2015
What can I say but what a fantastically nice movie. Nothing amazing happens, excitement was left out when the screenplay was written. What you are delivered is 2 hours of positive affirmations from Robert DeNiro that he "still has music left in him" and Anne Hathaway looking, acting, succeeding and struggling like most of out generation and the issues in following your dreams and not being able to delegate.
The small and simple things in this movie make you smile on so many occasions that the characters jump out at you and you can't help but feel for them. I had expectations for how the story would go and my only complaint is that it would have been good to see the results of all the advice he gave to the interns around the office while he was waiting for his email.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a nice calm and enjoyable movie with two fantastic actors who slip into characters as if they were already them.
