Review of Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) by Mike L — 08 Jan 2019
Everyone who I've talked to raved about Bohemian Rhapsody. In thinking abut it, it might be too hard to protray any artist on film. It is the work that stands the test, not the artist. What made Freddie Mercury "tick?" it seemed that he went from working at airport baggage to being a super star. In his personal life, his "gayness" seemed to be something he just momentarily decided upon. My ohter complaint is that the lead, Rami Malek didn't have the physicality to match Mercury. The best part of the movie is the end, the Aid concert, and any time Queen performed.
Thje wins at the Golden Globes for best actor and movie really befuddle me.
