Review of The Hunger (1983) by James K — 06 Aug 2007
Possibly the best Vampire Movie Ever?! Wonderfully erotic performances by Deneuve, Sarandon and Bowie, beautiful cinematography by Stephen Goldblatt, some of the best aging make-up you'll ever see, moving (and timeless) music, and Tony Scott at an artistic high (before he plummeted down the rollercoaster into Top Gun/Beverly Hills Cop/Days of Thunder) - its all basically pitch-perfect.
If Lynch directed a vampire movie, I'm guessing this would be it. Simply stunning.
