Review of The Human Stain (2003) by Mateusz Z — 08 Nov 2008
With a story that's all over the place, acting by the main couple so filled with mannerism that it reminds us more of theatre than anything (minus a great Ed Harris), and a Gary Sinise character that has completely no right of being, this is a model example of what a failure can adapting a book lead to.
Some improvisation might have helped in utilizing the undoubtful potential of this movie more fully.
