Review of The Hudsucker Proxy (1994) by Max K — 13 Jul 2009
Under-appreciated effort from the Coens, once dismissed for its over the top style which some felt overshadowed the story. Personally, I had fun. It is a great throwback to the films of the 1940s, and as always, the Coens know how to write for that era.
Great performances to boot (although Jennifer Jason Lee got on my nerves after a while), fabulous production design, and great comic writing make this film great... you know, for kids!
