Review of The Host (2006) by Aquiles V — 10 Dec 2012
I still don't know why critics loved this movie. I'm not really sure of what does the movie want to be. The characters are dumb and ridiculous, which made them funny at many situations, but at times the movie tries to be serious, slowing the pacing down.
The special effects were okay for a corean flick, but the plot didn't make any sense to me. I laughed hard at some parts that were really absurd, I'll give them that, but maybe if the director would've gone 100% comedy I would've found it more enjoyable than boring and stupid.
