Review of The Homesman (2014) by Omar E — 20 Jan 2015
This is an extremely well made western centred around Mary Bee Cuddy (Hilary Swank) who selflessly goes on a journey to bring 3 women driven mad by the harsh nature of life. Accompanied by George Briggs (Tommy Lee Jones) they head off to Iowa to get the women help.
I've never been a fan of Hilary Swank personally and although her performance was overrated in critics circles she was solid here, the film was made by Tommy Lee Jones brilliant performance on screen and behind the camera in delivering a quality piece.
