To start off I really felt that this concoction of a movie was filled with prodigious visuals. I saw a ton of primary colors throughout the movie (kind of like in Eyes Wide Shut). I also saw many religious symbolic references.

I loved how the director would disorient me (the viewer) with the exuberance throughout the whole movie and then right at the end he brought me back to what we actually are seeing the whole time. There is a lot of brutality and degradation (where we probably thought the "fucked up-ness" came into play).

But it quickly was expressed in a very rich way. The movie to me felt like a dream because of the way it was acted out, written, and told. I won't lie it is a screwy movie but in a good way. I found the culture to be very violent but a movie like this should be made so we can see what truly happens or what can happen.

There happened to be a journey through an illusion and it showed us the horrors of our civilization such as war, greed, and abuse of power. I still have that image of the jesus-like character defecating in the jar which then was baked and he was secluded in that room.

What was seen, cannot be unseen.
