Review of The Hoax (2006) by Jeffery T — 10 Jun 2009
I enjoyed this film. The storyline was just so interesting. This was based on actual events about a man pulling one of the biggest media scams ever. Cliff Irving sells an autobiography of Howard Hughes to Mcgraw Hill publishing company.
Irving however does not know Howard Hughes personally. So he fakes everything, interviews and encounters with Hughes. I didn't know who Howard Hughes was until this movie. He was a very powerful individual back in the day.
I loved how this all played into Watergate with Nixon and everything. It was just really good. Definitely worth the watch.
