Entertaining pastiche for those in the mood to laugh. However, the film is too broadly comic to be a drama and too dramatic at points to be a broad comedy. Still I haven't seen Richard Gere have this much fun in a long time.
The film unfortunately is not very factual though and so your probably better off seeing Orson Welles 'F for Fake'. It tells the story much better.
