Review of The Haunting (1963) by Savory D — 28 Sep 2009
Some of the Hollywood idiots out there should see this movie, and then maybe they'd quit making crap like the 'Saw' movies. This movie is terrifying, but not because of any visible monsters, ghosts, or murderers - it's an exercise in pure suspense.
Robert Wise was a good enough director to have done West Side Story & The Sound of Music, but this was his cheap little horror flick in B&W.
