An interesting movie with three great leads, but the movie acts as if it is building toward something and then leaves you with an extremely underwhelming ending. Thinking about the movie afterwards makes you understand what the ending means, but when the whole movie acts as if it is not a character piece, a character-based ending seems out of place.
The ending threw me off and lowered my rating by a star. This is definitely one of Cusack's best performances, however.
