Review of The Great Ziegfeld (1936) by Ice R — 04 Jul 2009
A great script with a monumental performance by Powell and a stolid one for Rainer. This movie is a long one and that's due to it's soaring mastery of musical showstopping numbers. While beautiful and magnificent they do seem to drag on an awful lot.
But if you're a fan of William Powell, this is a must see.
