Review of The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (1973) by David P — 28 Jul 2009
A very good adventure movie predating the use of CGI for special effects. The stop motion "Dynamation" was very well done, especially the sword fight between Sinbad and Kali. There is very little character development, but this is an adventure movie with mystical creatures, not a character study.
Tom Baker was by far my favorite in this movie. His evil sorcerer was well acted and believable (for a movie like this). If you wish to sit back and enjoy an adventure movie without much depth, this is a perfect movie.
