Review of The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1947) by Eric S — 13 Jun 2008
Another one of my top five favourites. Fine performances by Gene Tierney and Rex Harrison, and beautifully shot. The real star of the movie is Bernard Herrmann's haunting score (which he jokingly referred to as his Max Steiner score).
I was a 12 year old who had never seen the sea when I first saw this - I cannot seperate this music from my first memories of the ocean. Highly reccomended.
