Review of The Fountain (2006) by Yeliz B — 28 Jun 2011
I can easily understand why critics were so reluctant with The Fountain, it isn't that much of a movie (more like an experience) and doesn't follow any rules or concept that we're used to see, but, at some point, everything in there just fits together so perfectly.
The Fountain is a gorgeous film that presents breath-taking shots and a bewitching atmosphere. Aronofsky went so deep into creativity! + I can't believe people are degrading The Fountain by comparing it to Requiem for a Dream ; a director doesn't have to stick to a genre and it's okay for one to explore and enlarge the Art!
