Review of The Florida Project (2017) by Jim T — 06 Nov 2017
Wowza! Rarely have I been satisfied at the end of a movie without some expectation of a "real" ending. The Florida Project is an exception. There is no real beginning or ending to this one. It's just an observance of the life of a young girl ("Moonie") who is simply living her days happily enough without even knowing what's really going on around her.
It's happy, sad, thoughtful, inspiring, depressing, uplifting, and totally worth your time. Thank you, Willem Dafoe for taking on this project! I doubt this wonderful film would have been made without his star power, but he's keen enough to let the story do the telling.
