Review of The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005) by Dov D — 20 Feb 2013
Scott Derrickson took an interesting approach to telling this story, and as a whole, the only thing it managed to do was derail the suspense. The only reason I was so enthralled in this film was because of Jennifer Carpenter's phenomenal performance as a possessed girl.
Other than that, this film left much to be desired. Bottom line, This film is more suspense than horror, but it still manages to deliver a few genuine scares.
