Review of The East (2013) by Wordschat M — 01 Jul 2013
An FBI agent infiltrates an eco-terrorism group in hopes of relaying info to shut them down. No the group isn't one that throws fake blood at industrialists killing seals; rather they go after pharmaceuticals and polluters by giving them a taste of their medicine.
While the film worked for the first half as we learn of the backgrounds of a certain group called The East, the trials of the agent undercover and how it affected her home life, I didn't buy for a second her changing relations with the group particularly the leader and the subsequent actions she took.
A well meaning message laden story that gets dragged down in the muck.
