Review of The East (2013) by Jerem M — 02 Nov 2013
Brit Marling does it again. If you liked her previous collaboration with this director on the excellent Sound of My Voice, you won't be disappointed here. There are a lot of similar themes of trust and faith, and the gray areas of morality.
Marling is once again radiant, as an undercover agent infiltrating an environmental terrorist group. If you've seen other "undercover" films, you can probably guess the arc of her character, but the performance is key.
Can't wait to see what this talented writer/actress/producer has coming up next...
