Review of The East (2013) by Courtney S — 04 Mar 2014
Predictable, bland, and boring. Ridiculously far fetched, silly, Eco-elitism completely gives away any sense of suspense making the movie manipulative, boring and predictable. The writers fail to understand the varying degrees of nuanced conflict and realism to provoke uncertainty and suspense.
Instead of heavy handed storytelling, the movie would have benefited from more action to at least make an entertaining story. Instead the movie's just an insufferable sophomoric mess of pretentious posturing.
So much potential wasted by ineptitude. Anarchy and revenge have never been so badly misrepresented.
