Review of The Duellists (1977) by Archibald T — 24 Mar 2011
Ridley Scott's first feature film before hitting it big with Alien. This film is about two calvry officers during Napoleanic Times who duel each other every chance they get. Much of it spans over so many years before they both finally reach their final duel.
It's a lackluster ending, but a beautiful one when you see it. My favorite scene would have to be that final shot as Feraud looks out on a cliff as the sun shines in through the clouds. It just finished raining.
