The Drop is so good. This movie builds tension, takes it's time and builds and builds all while you sit there and wonder, what is going to happen next? It is a thinking person's movie, without making your brain hurt.
Tom Hardy to me has given one of the best acting performances of the year. James Gandolfini...well he just is so good at what he does. He was made to play this type of character, and what an awesome job in maybe his final role.
This movie seems so real to me. The neighborhood, the people, the bar, the dog it all just looks and feels like yeah this can be going on in New York. Certainly one of the best movies of the year.
