Review of The Double Life of Véronique (1991) by Matt G — 22 Sep 2007
This is a truly beautiful film. The visuals are striking, and the music is both haunting and heartbreaking. Irene Jacob succeeds at creating two completely different (yet similar) versions of what is essentially the same person.
This film is mysterious and will almost certainly confuse you a little on first viewing, but give it a chance...it's mesmerizing.
